Dr. Ray - Dr. Schuchert

Dr. Richard J. Doerfler holds four degrees from the University of Pittsburgh — Doctor of Dental Medicine, Master of Dental Science in Orthodontics, Master of Science in Anatomy and Histology, and Master of Arts in Physical Anthropology. He serves on the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine as Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics.

Dr. Doerfler is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, American Cleft Palate Association, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society, Centre and Clearfield Dental Societies.

A native of Pittsburgh, Dr. Doerfler has been serving the families of State College for over 15 years. He and his wife, Jane, are the parents of 2 children, Reed and Bethany. Dr. Doerfler’s interests outside of orthodontics include training and competing in triathlons, photography and home electronics.
